There are 3 stages to separate water or filter fuel.
The first stage is the separation where large solids and
water is separated.
The second stage is the coalescing.
The third stage is the filtration where water and
contaminants from fuel is separated.
The base collects the water.

Can filter fuel diesel up to 227 liters per hour.
The water is drained by using the bottom screw plug.
The cartridge is waterproof.
